12th Annual Cars On 5th Show

Where do you go to see the biggest horse gathering in town? Why, the 12th Annual Cars On 5th presented by the Naples Chapter of the Ferrari Club of America, of course.

By 8am Saturday morning, 5th Avenue South was lined with more horsepower than you’ve ever seen in one block.

The annual show is the biggest Naples has to offer where you can go to see some of the rarest cars and biggest gatherings of one car brand. Supercars dominate the show with classics, imports, domestics, and the occasional bike sprinkled in. And puppies. Puppies everywhere.

We were setup with our partners Audi Naples showing off our beloved Classic Beetle and 1963 Double Cab, a new 2016 Silk Blue Metallic Beetle Convertible, a new 2016 VW Golf GTI manual, and a new 2016 Touareg- all of which you can come see in our showroom!

There were too many Ferraris, Porsche’s, and Corvettes to count, but several stood out; like this Slant Nose Porsche below, a Porsche 918 Spyder, a green Ferrari 458, a gorgeous white Ferrari Testarossa, a new Ferrari 488, 2 Porsche GT3’s and a GT3RS, several model year C1 Corvettes, and a rare Ferrari 512i BB. While these three brands dominated, Lamborghini was represented well with the showing of a rare 1967 350GT, a new Aventador Super Veloce, a Diablo, a Murcielago, a 50th Anniversario Aventador, and a few others. It’s impossible to point out every sweet car there, but a Koenigsegg CCX, Alfa Romeo 4C & 8C, several Ford GT’s, a 1974 BMW 2002 Factory Turbo, a Mercedes Benz 300SLR, a Noble M400 race car, and a Porsche Carrera GT are some worth mentioning. And we can’t forget the familiar faces of a widebody bagged Challenger and a 1986 Mercedes-Benz 190E Cosworth Edition.

Vendors from around town and even farther out were set-up showcasing cars including Naples Motorsports, NUR Performance, Lamborghini Sarasota, Naples Luxury Imports, and Black Horse Motors.

As always the show was a hit, drawing in thousands of people, and dare I say, even more were in attendance this year than last! Needless to say, we are already looking forward to next year!

#HelpingHolidays at The Shelter

_MG_3711

VW of Naples has been collecting food and donations since November to benefit The Shelter for Abused Women and Children, right here in Naples, Florida. We feel that it is important to give back to the community that we call home. Over the course of the past month and a half we were able to fill our classic Volkswagen Double Cab Bus with canned and other non-perishable food and also raise $2,000!

We would like to thank everyone who donated and helped to bring awareness to our #HelpingHolidays food drive this year. Thank you all for helping to make the holidays a little brighter for those facing darker times in their lives, and thank you to The Shelter for allowing us to be a part of this and for everything that you do!

Our Two Newest Additions to the VW of Naples Family

banner

There’s something special about the vehicles that get picked to be in any dealership’s showroom. Our two newest additions to the Volkswagen of Naples family are no exceptions. In the short time they have been here, they’ve already drawn so much attention! A 1966 Type 3 Notchback and a 1959 Karmann Kabriolett are parked pretty in front of our welcome sign, greeting every customer as they walk in. You can drool but you can’t touch! We love keeping these guys in as great condition as possible.

Nothing Like the Classics

We have a lot of customers stop by and ask us about our classic show room beetles. Where do they come from? What year are they? What’s their story?

1978This 1978 Volkswagen Beetle Champagne Edition II features a Peach Red Metallic exterior over a clean and comfortable cream interior. This is a stunning example of how caring owners can make a vehicle last. It’s classic, rare, in exceptional condition and a real treat to see!

History: The body was stripped and painted in its original paint color including jambs. Odometer was replaced approximately 4k miles ago and door badge added to accurately state correct mileage.

Interesting Facts: While we do not know confirmed numbers for total production of this special edition, it is estimated that less than 1,000 of these were produced in total.

It is sitting proudly in our VW showroom with the top down for all visitors to enjoy.

Update: This lovely bug just found a home!
