12th Annual Cars On 5th Show

Where do you go to see the biggest horse gathering in town? Why, the 12th Annual Cars On 5th presented by the Naples Chapter of the Ferrari Club of America, of course.

By 8am Saturday morning, 5th Avenue South was lined with more horsepower than you’ve ever seen in one block.

The annual show is the biggest Naples has to offer where you can go to see some of the rarest cars and biggest gatherings of one car brand. Supercars dominate the show with classics, imports, domestics, and the occasional bike sprinkled in. And puppies. Puppies everywhere.

We were setup with our partners Audi Naples showing off our beloved Classic Beetle and 1963 Double Cab, a new 2016 Silk Blue Metallic Beetle Convertible, a new 2016 VW Golf GTI manual, and a new 2016 Touareg- all of which you can come see in our showroom!

There were too many Ferraris, Porsche’s, and Corvettes to count, but several stood out; like this Slant Nose Porsche below, a Porsche 918 Spyder, a green Ferrari 458, a gorgeous white Ferrari Testarossa, a new Ferrari 488, 2 Porsche GT3’s and a GT3RS, several model year C1 Corvettes, and a rare Ferrari 512i BB. While these three brands dominated, Lamborghini was represented well with the showing of a rare 1967 350GT, a new Aventador Super Veloce, a Diablo, a Murcielago, a 50th Anniversario Aventador, and a few others. It’s impossible to point out every sweet car there, but a Koenigsegg CCX, Alfa Romeo 4C & 8C, several Ford GT’s, a 1974 BMW 2002 Factory Turbo, a Mercedes Benz 300SLR, a Noble M400 race car, and a Porsche Carrera GT are some worth mentioning. And we can’t forget the familiar faces of a widebody bagged Challenger and a 1986 Mercedes-Benz 190E Cosworth Edition.

Vendors from around town and even farther out were set-up showcasing cars including Naples Motorsports, NUR Performance, Lamborghini Sarasota, Naples Luxury Imports, and Black Horse Motors.

As always the show was a hit, drawing in thousands of people, and dare I say, even more were in attendance this year than last! Needless to say, we are already looking forward to next year!

Naples, FL – Naples Speed, a leader in advanced automotive accessories, recently participated in the Ferrari Club of America – Naples Chapter “Holiday Collector Car Show” at Mercato.  The event, held on Saturday, December 14th, was attended by car enthusiasts from all over south Florida, and featured some of the hottest names in the automotive industry.  On display were dozens of collector Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Bentleys, Porsche and other exotics, as well as brand new models from Audi and Volkswagen.

The car show, benefiting local charities, was one of the first to be attended by the newly formed performance division of Audi Naples and Volkswagen of Naples.  Several representatives of the company were on hand to showcase an impressive array of aftermarket accessories, as well as several customized vehicles.  While new to the market, the organization’s colorful display of German vehicles immediately garnered the attention of many show attendees.

Naples Speed Performance Manager, Tony Canglin, believes the weekend event helped launch the new endeavor to an already existing, and very loyal fan base.

“We’ve been catering to the needs of Audi and Volkswagen enthusiasts for many years through our existing parts and service departments,” said Canglin.  “What we have realized over the past few months, is a strong push from our clients to expand our abilities and offerings, while maintaining our focus on quality work.  By teaming our existing factory parts offerings, with new relationships with some of the most famous names in performance accessories, we hope to fill a true void in our market.”

Naples Speed has already signed agreements with several well-known automotive tuning companies including APR and STaSIS.  Their offerings also include wheel and tire upgrades, exhausts, suspensions, engine components, intakes, and braking systems.  By early 2014, the offices and maintenance facilities will move into a brand new facility in Naples, FL.

“It’s an exciting time for us here as we work diligently to get into the new facility, upgrade our web offerings, and build a community following.  Events like the Holiday Collector Car Show, give us great feedback as we build our client base locally.”
